pottering techno style

Pottering around cyber space has been the focus of late - learning new programs and using iphones and Macs and  new cameras. The big wide world of technology can invade the room as much as a raucous party (often less noisy) but as impacting. Technology can be very time consuming and pottering around can eat hours leaving little for the essential functions in life. While games are not a feature of said pottering, I dread to think of how much time would be spent on the screen if we indulged in those games.

What games do you play?

Cool Day - Clear Skies

June weather is so clear and cold at the moment. Southern hemisphere winter sunrises are brilliant and the mornings are ideal for brisk walking. The rooms on the northern side of the house are lovely during the day. Our winter crops are growing nicely and should be ready to harvest in August - upon our return.
Pottering around the house, seeing areas of clear space is inspiring and allows for creative thoughts and imaginings - artiness is on the rise at Montclare.

Potter Away

Loved this sign when I was pottering around in Berry. I like to potter when I walk, when I shop and when I am cleaning the house and gardening. Much more can be achieved and with greater satisfaction. Happy pottering readers!

Pottering by the Beach

We went for a long walk around Shellharbour Beach and up to the quarry. Waves were rough, pounding the shore and sending up spray, high into the air. The best sights were for eyes only and even with the camera ready the recorded images were a pale reflection of reality. Down near the quarry beside the road was a little baby bird....all alone and trying not to be noticed. The surf competition was calling for attention, duly received and punctuated by the smell of barbecued onions.

60 minute makeover for the aviary

Cleaned the aviary after lots of rain sullied the bird cage. Changed the decor and have a new hanging nesty thing. New pot plants and watering system complete the pad. Sunny day today and everything looks fresh and clean.

Just Pottering Around

Fiddly day today setting things aright for the grandeur tour. Getting mending done, cleaning the aviary out, checking out all the pictures on my shoe calendar that I will miss (and I have been disciplined not sneaking peeks), sorting and sewing. Pitch in some exercise and gardening, shopping and cooking and the day is nearly done. Tutoring in the afternoon for a few hours and clear the backlog of recorded end bits of movies and the day is done. Well that is the plan. Wonder what will really happen...?

Winter is Upon Us

Cool weather here on the south coast of New South Wales. The leaves have fallen and the golden carpet makes the yard look pretty. The garden is having a rest and bearing winter fruit. The finches are still hatching and flitting around happily enjoying each season. A glorious sunrise heralds the day - hoping it is a symbol of good things for all who read this post. Great is His faithfulness.

Plodding Along

Hanging in that space between starting and finishing chores - nothing quite finished, many things started. Thankful for indoor walker to get the heart pounding, thankful for indoor entertainment, thankful for indoor sorting and cleaning. Thankful for outdoor watering and window washing......now just to psyche myself to venture outdoors to work. There is just a tiny patch of sky....
